Imperial Design Concepts is a design-conscious material studio based in Mohali, serving homeowners, architects, builders, and developers for over a decade.
IDC was built on a simple observation — material selection is one of the largest financial and aesthetic decisions in any project, yet it is usually the least structured. Clients are shown hundreds of options with no framework, and decisions default to price or trend.
We work differently. Every engagement follows a structured selection process: understand the project, align it to the right Velora tier, curate a focused shortlist, and let clients experience materials in the right context before deciding.
We are not a volume retailer, and we do not push products. We are a material partner — for the practical project and the bespoke one alike.

Collections are experienced best in person: at full scale, under proper light, in the right context. The studio is built for exactly that.

A defined process, not an overwhelming catalogue.
Focused shortlists aligned to the project.
Materials experienced properly before selection.
Relationships that outlast the project.
Imperial Design Concepts was established over ten years ago and has since worked with more than 3,541 clients across 6 Indian states and 2 countries, contributing to residential and commercial projects worth over ₹11,000 crore. That range — from builder floors to bespoke architectural homes — is deliberate. It is what allows us to tell a client honestly when a project does not need the most expensive answer, because we have supplied both ends of the spectrum and seen how each performs.
The studio sits at Plot No. 729, Industrial Area JLPL, Sector 82, Mohali, and is built for one purpose: experiencing materials in the conditions they will actually live in. Slabs stand upright at full size. Textured panels are lit directionally. Sanitaryware is installed at working heights. Bath fittings are working pieces you can turn by hand. None of this is showroom theatre — it is the only way a material can be judged before it is committed to.
Homeowners building or renovating, who want the decision structured rather than overwhelming. Architects and interior designers, for whom we prepare material palettes and specification schedules aligned to a design intent. Builders and developers running multi-unit residential work, where batch consistency, phased delivery and long-term availability decide whether a specification survives to phase three. And contractors and project consultants coordinating all of the above on site.
We do not compete on price, and we do not push product. If a project is better served by a simpler material than the one a client arrived asking for, we say so — and we would rather lose an order than supply a specification we know will disappoint in year five. Our relationships with architects have lasted a decade because of that, not in spite of it.
